This set covers the whole module: routines and sequence words, explaining a change, polite enquiries, and combining a time with a reason. Write your answer in French before opening the solution, because the skill is producing a correct message, not recognising one. The questions go from easier to harder.
Keep a list of the numbers you miss and use the routing list at the end. The module overview is in everyday routines and arrangements.
Questions
1. Reflexive verbs. Complete: “Chaque matin, je ___ (se réveiller) à six heures.”
Show answer
The subject is je, so the pronoun is me, and the verb is réveille: je me réveille.
2. Sequence. Put in order: (a) Enfin, je me couche. (b) Ensuite, je dîne avec ma famille. (c) D’abord, je rentre de l’école.
Show answer
D’abord opens, ensuite is the middle and enfin closes: (c), (b), (a).
3. Telling the time. Write in a French sentence: “I take the bus at 7:45.”
Show answer
7:45 can be said as huit heures moins le quart, which means a quarter to eight: Je prends le bus à huit heures moins le quart. The digital form is also correct: à sept heures quarante-cinq.
4. Plural reflexive. Complete: “Ma sœur et moi, nous ___ (se promener) le dimanche.”
Show answer
Ma sœur et moi stands for nous, so the pronoun is nous too: nous nous promenons. The stem takes an accent in je me promène and ils se promènent, but the nous form keeps the plain e.
5. Parce que or à cause de. Complete: “Je reste à la maison ___ la pluie.”
Show answer
La pluie is a noun phrase: à cause de la pluie.
6. Elision. Complete: “Il ne vient pas au club parce que ___ (il) est fatigué.”
Show answer
Que elides before il: parce qu’il est fatigué.
7. Comme. Join into one sentence with comme: “Je suis fatigué. Je me couche à neuf heures.”
Show answer
Reason first, then the main statement: Comme je suis fatigué, je me couche à neuf heures.
8. Polite request. Make this polite for a shop assistant: “Je veux le prix.”
Show answer
Two correct options: Je voudrais connaître le prix, s’il vous plaît, or Pouvez-vous me dire le prix, s’il vous plaît ? Both use the polite register.
9. Question formation. Ask a librarian (using vous) what time the library closes.
Show answer
À quelle heure fermez-vous ? or À quelle heure la bibliothèque ferme-t-elle ? Both are correct. Est-ce que vous fermez à dix-huit heures ? would ask about a specific time instead.
10. Error correction. Correct: “Le samedi, je lève à huit heures parce que je ne ai pas école.”
Show answer
Two errors. The reflexive pronoun is missing, and ne ai must elide: Le samedi, je me lève à huit heures parce que je n’ai pas école.
11. Change of plan. Write a message to your friend Tom. The cinema trip on Friday at 7 p.m. cannot happen because you have a class. Suggest Saturday at 6 p.m.
Show answer
One possible answer: Salut Tom, malheureusement, je ne peux pas aller au cinéma vendredi à dix-neuf heures parce que j’ai un cours. Est-ce que nous pouvons y aller samedi à dix-huit heures ? It needs the change, a reason with a verb after parce que, and a new time.
12. Time and reason. Answer in three sentences: “Décris ta soirée du mercredi et explique pourquoi tu te couches à cette heure.”
Show answer
One possible answer: Le mercredi soir, je fais mes devoirs, puis je dîne avec ma famille. Après le dîner, je me douche et je regarde un peu la télévision. Je me couche à dix heures parce que je me lève à six heures le jeudi. It has a sequence, reflexive verbs with the correct pronouns, and a time with a reason.

When a pattern keeps repeating across the set, spoken practice with a teacher can show why. Online one-to-one French tuition works from the answers you actually write and say.
